Data sources

Know where the numbers come from.

BullRecon stores normalized snapshots from public filings and third-party market-data providers, then runs its own research calculations over those records.

Prices and market history

End-of-day price and volume history is collected through Marketstack and stored in BullRecon’s database. The interface identifies close-based data and does not present it as a live exchange feed.

Dividend history

Cash-dividend events are collected through Marketstack and stored by ex-dividend date. BullRecon calculates trailing-12-month distributions and historical yield from those events and the latest cached close. These figures are historical, not forecasts of future payments.

Company financials and filings

Annual and quarterly financial statement facts, current reports and insider transactions are primarily sourced from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s EDGAR system, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, 6-K and 4.

Institutional ownership

Reported institutional positions are derived from SEC Form 13F filings. OpenFIGI may be used to resolve security identifiers. A filing reports a period-end position and can arrive weeks later, so institutional ownership is not a real-time flow feed.

Profiles and earnings calendars

Company profile metadata may be supplied by Financial Modeling Prep with SEC filing fallback. Scheduled earnings dates are collected from Alpha Vantage with provider fallback, while reported company results are reconciled against available SEC facts.

Freshness and corrections

Each provider has different publication schedules, rate limits and coverage. BullRecon caches data, refreshes stale records and preserves the latest completed snapshot during rebuilds. If a displayed value appears incorrect, contact support@bullrecon.app with the ticker and section name.
